A closer look at the current service.

Honest distinguishes Classic SIM from Smart SIM. Classic provides ordinary mobile service on Three, with voice-and-text and data-only variants. Smart SIM is a separate data-only eSIM for supported apps and works alongside an existing main SIM; it does not replace that number. Honest’s billing guidance treats Classic and Smart subscriptions separately, and bills can be viewed through the Honest Mobile app.

Introduction: what to know about Honest Mobile

Honest Mobile has different products with different roles. Its Classic SIM and Smart SIM should not be treated as interchangeable ways of providing the same mobile service. This profile separates background, service features and account processes. Keep your exact product name and start date available: current descriptions and older agreements can differ.

02NETWORK EXPLAINER

History and development

Honest’s own account says Andy and Josh launched the service in 2019. Its original everyday product developed into the Classic SIM, alongside a later Smart SIM product designed for supported-app data access. Those two roles remain central to understanding the brand.

03NETWORK EXPLAINER

Features and useful distinctions

Classic SIM uses Three for the main mobile service. Smart SIM is a separate multi-network data product for supported apps. It should not be treated as unrestricted internet access or a like-for-like replacement for an ordinary UK calling-and-texting line.

SIM options and plan information

Choose the intended role first: a main Classic SIM connection or additional Smart SIM data. Check the phone’s supported active-SIM combinations and which line will handle calls, messages and data. A stored eSIM profile is not necessarily an active connection.

Phone contracts and device options

No Honest handset-finance catalogue was verified in the reviewed official information. The confirmed service uses a compatible phone you already have or obtain separately. Honest’s device help says Classic SIM requires a 4G- or 5G-capable phone. Check the precise model, not merely the presence of a SIM slot.

06NETWORK EXPLAINER

Pay monthly: how it is structured

Read the billing period and commitment for the selected Classic or Smart product. Do not assume a backup-data subscription ends when a main mobile number is transferred. Where more than one product is active, identify how each renews and how each is closed.

07NETWORK EXPLAINER

Pay as you go: what to check

No conventional credit-based PAYG service was verified in the reviewed Honest product range. Classic and Smart are subscription products with different functions. A product with flexible renewal is not automatically a pay-per-use credit SIM.

08NETWORK EXPLAINER

Bills, payments and additional use

Use Honest’s app and help centre to identify which subscription is active. Distinguish the main mobile line, backup data and any extra allowance. If usage seems unexpected, check the phone’s default data line and automatic switching settings before attributing it to the wrong SIM.

PAC codes and keeping your number

Honest’s number-transfer guidance concerns Classic SIM. Do not assume a PAC moves a normal UK number onto the supported-app Smart SIM product. Confirm the correct receiving product and transfer process before changing the existing mobile service. For the standard single-number process, text PAC to 65075 to request a code to retain your number. The code is valid for 30 days. Follow any additional verification required by your provider. Give the PAC to the receiving provider through its official route; do not separately close the old line before confirming the transfer sequence.

10NETWORK EXPLAINER

eSIM, phone compatibility and setup

Confirm Honest Mobile’s current eSIM support for your exact product and handset model. A provider may support a feature on some products but not every legacy arrangement. Read activation, replacement and transfer instructions before deleting an existing profile. With two SIMs active, check the default lines for calls, messages and data, including automatic data switching.

11NETWORK EXPLAINER

Coverage, roaming and travel

Check the destination list and app restrictions for the exact product. A backup connection can sit alongside a main number; confirm the phone can run the required SIM combination. Check the official coverage and service-status information for your important locations. A coverage prediction is not a guarantee of indoor reception. For overseas use, verify your specific destination, account conditions and activation requirements; international calls from the UK are a separate category.

Official support and the next step

Use Honest Mobile’s official support for account changes, lost SIMs, disputed payments, formal complaints and security concerns. For a connection issue, keep the device model, time, location and checks already completed. mosaicskiyo can explain general information but cannot access the account or represent you.
